The detail: uploads travel to us encrypted through Cloudflare, our network provider, which also checks you're a person and not a bot. For a solar estimate we look up your postcode (postcodes.io) and the sunshine there (the European Commission's PVGIS service). If your bill is addressed to a limited company we look its name up on Companies House. None of them receives your bill. Read our privacy notice.

We've spent years turning photos and documents into evidence that stands up. BillChecker brings the same discipline to energy bills: read the document properly, check every number, and never show a figure we can't prove.

Yes, 100%. Checking your bill is free, there's no sign-up and we never ask for a card.
Which bills can I check?
UK business electricity and gas bills, for any size of business, as a PDF or a photo. You can check up to 6 bills at once to compare them. Half-hourly metered sites have extra network charges on their bills: we check what we can prove and tell you if anything needs a closer look.
How do you make money?
Checking your bill is free and always will be. We never sell your data. If in future we introduce you to an energy supplier or solar installer, we'll tell you exactly what we are paid before you agree to anything.
Do you keep my bill?
No. It's deleted from our server before your results appear, and it is never sent to a cloud AI service.
Can I really get solar panels for £0 upfront?
Many businesses can. With these schemes a provider installs and owns the panels and you buy the power they make, often cheaper than your current rate, usually under a long roof lease. They suit larger roofs with good daytime use. We'll show you your numbers either way.
Where do your price comparisons come from?
The Department for Energy Security and Net Zero publishes the average prices businesses pay, split by how much energy they use. We compare your all-in price (every charge before VAT, divided by the units you used) with the average for businesses your size.
What if you can't read my bill properly?
We only give advice when every figure on your bill adds up. If something doesn't, we tell you what we could read and ask for a clearer copy, rather than guess.
Is this financial advice?
