Accessibility statement

We want everyone to be able to check their energy bill. We aim for the site to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.

What we've done

• The upload area, buttons and forms are designed to work with a keyboard, with a visible focus outline.
• We have aimed for strong colour contrast, and the text resizes with your browser settings.
• Images have text descriptions, and progress and error messages are marked up so screen readers can announce them.
• Animations are switched off if your device asks for reduced motion.
• Results use plain English, with the working shown for every figure.

Known limitations

• The price meter and bill breakdown bars are visual. The same figures are always given in the text beside them.
• The site is a beta version and has not yet had an independent accessibility audit.
